I don’t fear him, I crave him.

My ghost has been my protector and friend for as long as I can remember. But recently, our relationship has changed. He grows stronger each time he touches me and feeds off of our physical chemistry. I want him, but he is a ghost, and I am very much alive. How can this work?

Now I’m finding out there is more to our relationship. Something has connected him to me and my family in the afterlife. Can I use this connection to bring him back? Though he has never scared me, this does. I’m afraid of how I feel and even more fearful of what I’d do to keep him with me, forever.

Writing Style

The premise of this story is so unique, which was one of the reasons I had picked it up, and the way that the author presents the story had me asking questions until the end where I finally received my closure. I loved learning about the hidden supernatural side of this world alongside the FMC. With each answer received the more questions I asked and that kept me reading. The spice is top tier, and I don’t usually go for pregnancy tropes, but this one was so unique in how the pregnancy was used I really didn’t mind that much.

Character Info

Emily (our FMC) has been followed by a presence for as long as she can remember. A presence that would comfort her amidst the chaos that was her parent’s relationship and eventual divorce. Years and years pass they create a rudimentary yes and no system for communicating but she wants more. She craves it. So one night things get spicey and that’s when she decides to pursue psychic help and everything changes.

Ghost guy, (I don’t want to spoil his name reveal) has been there for Emily after a traumatic end of his life. He grew along side Emily while he is there for her, and as time progresses he falls in love. He never thought what happens next would ever happen.

My Opinions

So I ordered this book, and then realized I put down the wrong address then it got lost in the mail. When I finally received my copy I devoured it in a little over a day. It is a quick, nicely paced book that actually helped me get out of a reading slump.

I wasn’t sure what I would think of this book when I started reading it, and I was happily blown away by just how much I enjoyed it. Ghosts are just the surface of what this world has to offer, and we are guided through it by our characters. Definitely a fun read, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
