Writing Style
I love Torri Heat’s writing style, the way her plot is character driven. One trying to run off every chance she gets. I love the dragon shifters, and I definitely need to start reading more books about dragons. The spice was outstanding and the way that she depicted the characters and their individuality realistic.
The story is told in dual perspective switching between Charlie (FMC), and Cam (MMC) depending on the chapter.
Character information
FMC: Charlie a hard headed, sassy gorgeous and brave girl, is running from something. What she doesn’t realize is what she is running toward.
MMC: Cam, A dragon shifter who is just as stubborn was hiking and guess who he happens to come across… He’s sweet, and charming, and dark. Just like his secrets. Also great in bed.
My Opinions
I love shifters and dragons you put them together and its a heck yes for me. I love Charlie because of her stubborn independence, and attitude.
I hated Finn, (but that’s a good thing)
My favorite side character was Grace, big mama dragon vibes.
This story was such an adventure from start to finish. I wasn’t sure at first where it was headed I had speculations, but I was wrong. This book checked all of my trope boxes and then some.
This is definitely a book I am going to be keeping on my shelf, and although I’m working on my tbr I really hope I find a chance to re-read it.
I would definitely recommend this book, its fast paced but the romance and the spice are killer, and its a rather quick read. If you enjoy men with an accent who give disrespect her and die vibes, with a stubborn powerful FMC who doesn’t need a man, then this is one for you!
